I have just recently "woken up." I, too, am very confused about what, if anything, is to be done.

I will definitely be hearing the next general conference with new ears. :)

Do we just wait until further instructed in these things? Should we seek to bring hidden things to light?

This may sound silly- but I am starting to think I probably won't get married because I have never met anyone in real life who sees things like this and I don't know how it would be possible to raise a family with someone who hasn't seen these things yet. I do feel a little alone.

I agree on this matter of Glen Beck. We must be very careful and watchful of those we seek counsel with. My ancestors gave in to these secrets I search, ponder, and pray that I stay true to the Savior Jesus Christ.

Hi. I am a believer in all the above but I have question(s)- inline with some of the other questions :
All of the sayings by Church authorities eg. Benson & maybe D.O.McKay (ref. W.Cleon Skousen) : are about 40 or 50 years old! Given that the problem is worse now rather than improved, shouldn't we have more up to date warnings - from up on top?
Next: Are we supposed to speak up - meaning us nobodies? I Understand that the Church is driven from the ground up - meaning that it is organized with the consent of the people (not democratic), & so maybe we are supposed to do something (?)
Next, I understand (from Cleon Skousen) that the people from outside the Church, and according to the disowned prophecy of Joseph Smith - known as "White Horse" prophecy, are supposed to come to us rather than us going to them. Maybe this is what the leaders of the Church are waiting for - maybe they are waiting for the outside people to come to us first(?)
I am genuinely puzzled ?

Update:

The pdf has received a small update, now adding "They store up gold and silver in abundance and traffic in all manner of traffic (4 Nephi 1:46)" to point #9. Also, the list alone has been duplicated at http://www.ldsfreedomportal.net/combinations.html should you wish to use this to share with others who might only be interested in what the standard works say on the matter.

Marion S said, "My questions to the community are these: Is this inevitable and we should do nothing to try and prevent it? Or are we supposed to be like Captain Moroni and try to change the course of our country?"

I agonized over these exact questions for several years (first started "waking up to the awful situation" about 2004).

Over the years I have felt very close to Mormon (he who compiled the Book) and I still get chills when I read the lines, "Oh ye fair ones...how could you..."

So sometimes I have felt like Mormon does when he describes how at one point he decided to give up reasoning with the people.

Other times I have felt like how he describes having a renewed sense of hope for his people and he determined to become their leader again at their request.

I guess in the final analysis, though, I have become more convinced over the years that extremes are not always good, indeed they can be destructive if the timing is not right. All I can say IMHO is that I am trying to listen to the Brethren and I do not hear them encouraging Captain Moroni's approach to taking the bull by the horns, (at least not yet who knows).

You'd better believe, though that I will be extremely excited beyond all doubt to hear the Brethren identify a leader like Captain Moroni who might rally the righteous to hardcore action! :)

For, now I am thinking of a scripture or two in the D & C that states that in the last days "The wicked will destroy the wicked" and I mostly just forge ahead during the day amidst the lone and dreary world always looking forward to the respite I get with my wife and kids in my refuge from the World's madness I call home.

And my children are for sure getting a no holds barred education regarding the evil secret combinations operating among the children of men.

Wilford Woodruff said (in the last chapter of the WW priesthood manual) that the parable of the ten virgins was written for THE CHURCH and CHURCH MEMBERS and not for the world. When I studied that chapter I came to the conclusion that WW was prophesying that 1/2 of the Church would be without the spirit in the last days. This was about the time when Barry Soetoro, er, aka Barak Obama was being supported by many members of the church in my area in Idaho. When I put 2 and 2 together I guess I came to the sad but nevertheless true conclusion that indeed, the very elect are being deceived in the last days.

Anyways, it is sad that about 1/2 of the church is practically apostate. However, I suppose since it has been prophesied, its part of the plan and par for the course.

Those are my 2 cents. I know how agonizing those two original questions are, Marion S, I hope you arrive at your own satisfactory answers in due time.

I have been praying over the information at my disposal and I am trying to develop a plan of action. My questions to the community are these: Is this inevitable and we should do nothing to try and prevent it?
Here's the worry I have in reading something like this. Someone in the comments section quoted or referred to something said by Glenn Beck. If you guys think that Glenn Beck is there to fight the secret combinations and not to uphold them then you've got it all wrong. Glenn Beck is as part and parcel to the secret combination as any red-blooded communist out there. The secret combination is about power and control. Beck is a tool to divert and distract us from the real problem.

Darin, I loved your article. I am glad that I finally found someone who see why the Lord suffered and save the Book of Mormon for this day and time.

Can anyone understand President Benson’s statement that: “The Book of Mormon was written for our day and time?!!!” He and other prophets have warned the Latter-day Saints that our civilization is no different than those of the Jaradites and the Nephites. The only difference between our day and their day is that the priesthood will not be taken from the earth and the Savior has kept back his most valiant for this day and time. The prophets have not told us that we will have an easy way of it if we are not true to the teachings found in the Book of Mormon. I can’t say that many of the Latter-day Saints are much aware of what is going on around them. I have yet to find but a few who agree with me or others who try to ignore what I say.

I think it is appropriate at this time to quote a passage from the Book of Mormon that is appropriate: 2 Nephi 28:21-27)

21 And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well--and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.

22 And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none--and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance.

23 Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.

24 Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!

25 Wo be unto him that crieth: All is well!

26 Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost!

27. Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need
no more!

If you want to read a book, if it were produced into a movie would be rated RRR) is Prophecy, Key to te Future by Duane S. Crowther. Getting through it the first time was hard and I have not had the stomach so far to read it again. The scariest General Authority I have ever read was Orson Pratt. Read that book and see if you don't agree.

As a very young man I gained access to the Protocols of the Illuminati which can be obtained by googling The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. This document sets out the primary secret combination and their strategy to bring about a one world government.

Satan sought to remove our agency in the pre-existent state, he has not changed and that he maintains that strategy here on earth, which he can accomplish through a one world government. There is no other way for him to dominate mankind as a whole.

Thanks all.

Joel, I will look at that link when I get time.

Steve, yes I agree. This little publication will hopefully be something that at least makes people think. If people are not interested it is hard to wake them up.

NOTE: Article updated for scriptural points. PDF also updated. Please use the pdf if circulating to friends as it is in a better format and contains a few improvements that the article above does not. Thank you.

Darren it is more than disappointing to find not only lack of openness about this subject in our current church groups and discussions, but even a censorship when the examination comes too close to home. That is to say the system of allegedly "representative" government of the United States with a totally invasive and independence destructive tax system, a tax code based on misunderstood meanings and words not in conformity to common English, secularity at every level but with controlling hidden groups with unlimited financial means to shape both the supposed debate and the preplanned outcomes toward an oligarchic center. I highly recommend anyone interested in understanding the matrix go to the blog at edrivera.com, and put on your thinking cap as you examine the laws that have segued into the present just-us system.

Darren it is more than disappointing to find not only lack of openness about this subject in our current church groups and discussions, but even a censorship when the examination comes too close to home. That is to say the system of allegedly “representative” government of the United States with a totally invasive and independence destructive tax system, a tax code based on misunderstood meanings and words not in conformity to common English, secularity at every level but with controlling hidden groups with unlimited financial means to shape both the supposed debate and the preplanned outcomes toward an oligarchic center. I highly recommend anyone interested in understanding the matrix go to the blog at edrivera.com, and put on your thinking cap as you examine the laws that have segued into the present just-us system. It reveals systemic conspiracy in the government of the United States and the oaths taken to hide the conspiracy in turning a free nation into a subject mass of serfs serving the government and corporations.
Darren

Thanks so much for your work. I especially appreciate the quotes from modern prophets. Most of us know that Presidents Benson and Clark spoke a great deal about conspiracies, but more contemporary prophets have also spoken out.

Here's my concern - and I hope others will comment. When we hear people like President Benson talk of conspiracies we often think only of communism and other state-sponsored 'isms, which we think are no longer threats. Current conspiracies against our freedom (e.g. Glenn Beck's recent discussion of Maurice Strong, 'Crime Inc.', the UN, global warming, etc.) seem even more frightening because they are so well-organized, highly placed, and almost completely yawned at by most people. They have truly gotten "above us" while too many of us were not paying sufficient attention. It's easy to discuss the issue with people who already get it - more difficult to raise the alarm with people who don't see the problem.

The PDF "pamphlet" has now been added (in the signature) of the article. It is a slightly improved version of the article. Feel free to share in electronic or print form!

Ralph, thanks for the support. I doubt Meridian would publish it. I've sent them something political before and there was no reply. They did publish an article I sent them on symbolism but that was not directly political (it was about moral agency). Anyway, as I said before, it's more a list than an article ;)

I'm going to format it into PDF (I'll post the dload link in the article above), so if you could wait that'd be grand. I'm looking to get this done in the next 24 hours and will post here when done!

Update: added bit about the king-men professing blood of nobility in #25 in article.

I would love for this to be printed in the Ensign, and please let us know what response you get from Meridian Magazine. This is not a "feel good" subject, but rather one that most church leaders would consider a distraction from those aspects of the Gospel that they are trying to promote. It may stand the best chance of reaching a max number of LDS simply via email from one person to another. Otherwise, a bookstore like Sam Wellers in SLC might sell it in printed form. I base this opinion to a large extent on the experience of Chris Bentley with his published books, "A Glorions Standard For All Mankind" and "The Hidden Things Of Darkness", copies of which, I believe still languish in his garage.

May I have your permission to send this by email to certain LDSs on my usual "hit list"?

Matthew, I am glad it has been able to open eyes ;) Skousen was not a Church leader of course, but his religious and political writings show much insight in my view. I believe this faithful man also worked closely with the Brethren. He has his detractors among the saints, but they are usually those who disagree with the quotations in my article above ;)

I think a lot of people - even if still a small minority - are waking up.

Glad the article helped.

The article has been updated slightly (grammar, rewritten in some places, and Jared's quotation added).

p.s. Thanks Steve! :)

I'll hopefully get the PDF done soon - unless anyone can offer advice for change?
