Podcast: The Cleansing of America

Paul Skousen, the son of W. Cleon Skousen, discusses the recently released book by his father “The Cleansing of America”. In this episode, he addresses the following questions:

Why did your father write the Cleansing of America?

Why did your father choose not to publish this book back in 1994?

What is the difference between the United Order and the Law of Consecration?

Isn’t the Law of Consecration the same as socialism?

What signs of the last days are you (Paul Skousen) looking for that are addressed in The Cleansing?

Are we “there” yet, is it time to sell stocks, buy gold, and get that white snow suit so we can hide in the mountains?

What did the Lord mean when he said, about our Constitution, that anything more or less than this cometh of evil?

Podcast: Freedom to Birth

In the October 2010 General Conference, President Monson stated “within the confines of whatever circumstances we find ourselves, we will always have the right to choose”.  So even in a world where the Constitution, as envisioned by the Founding Fathers, is not being followed and we do not enjoy our God-given rights to their fullest, we still can make choices that result in a greater degree of liberty.

In this episode of LDS Liberty, Jeremy and Beth describe their recent experience of having an unassisted home birth and how this decision brought them closer together as a family and to the Savior.  They also respond to many of the questions that they received both before and after this experience from friends and family.

Podcast: Pursuing Liberty – 180th General Conference Recap

Jeremy and Marissa recap the 180th General Conference. Did you notice that a lot of the talks were about agency?  Conference lit a fire under us and we wanted to drink it all in.

Some of the talks we discuss include President Monson’s “The Three R’s of Choice.”  He quotes President McKay, “Next to the bestowal of life itself, the right to direct that life is God’s greatest gift to man.”

In Elder Uchtdorf’s talk “Of Things that Matter Most” he states that Gospel Principles “are the door to experiences of sublime importance that would otherwise be beyond our capacity to comprehend.”

We also cover our other favorite talks given by Elders Hales, Elder Scott, and Elder Packers’ words that sparked some controversy.  And we boldly give our response to those opposed to his teachings.

Elder Packer teaches, “… our agency is more powerful than the adversary’s will. Agency is precious. We can foolishly, blindly give it away, but it cannot be forcibly taken from us.”

All you need to do is listen to the prophets and do what they say.  It really is as simple as that.  We have prophets who only speak the truth.  Listen and have faith, and in that you will maintain your agency.
