To those of you who know of the Prophet Abinadi’s mission in Book of Mormon times, you will be able to see the similarities of Abinadi and our own present Abinadi–Ron Paul.
To those of you
who know of the Prophet Abinadi’s mission in Book of Mormon times, you
will be able to see the similarities of Abinadi and our own present
Abinadi–Ron Paul. That is… if you are familiar with what Ron Paul
truly stands for.
At the time in Nephite history when Abinadi comes on
the scene, the Nephite leader, King Noah had become very corrupt. He
had begun to tax the people heavily and to build large, expensive
buildings. Isn’t that what we see in Washington D.C. today? It seems
that when people see the impressive buildings of their nations, they
are somehow fooled into thinking all is well. How could anything be
wrong in such a prosperous nation as one which builds such beautiful
buildings? These buildings give people a false sense of security. King
Noah also brought in corrupt men to be the leaders of the society.
These were the High Priests who were perverting the ways of the Lord.
They were going along with the King in whatever he desired to do. They
put up no fuss when King Noah’s power began to corrupt the society.
They were participants in the fat of the land and the devilish ways
that King Noah was slowly making acceptable to the people. They took
advantage of their positions in that society to gain favors and
privileges. Don’t we also see that taking place in our society today?
We have the President of the United States, who is usurping power and
doing his own will, instead of following the law of the land, which is
the Constitution. Our President has surrounded himself by corrupt men
and women, who will go along with his plans to take power from the
Congress and transfer it to the Executive Branch, or himself. These
powers which the President is taking are being used to start wars,
declare martial law whenever he sees fit, spying on Americans using the
internet and phone companies, giving undo authority to others to search
persons and luggage without warrant. The abuses go on.
Ron Paul
is the one of the very few men in Congress who dare take a firm stand
on these issues. Ron Paul has spoken out for many years about the
abuses of power and total disregard that has been shown the
Constitution. He has been the voice of warning for over 20 years. He
has held up the Constitution as the standard of good moral principles
and good government. And, like King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon, he
has refused to profit from his service as a leader. Ron Paul has not
partaken of the lucrative Congressional Pension Plan.
Like Abinadi, Ron
Paul has dared to speak up against the very corrupt powers which are
controlling our nation. Ron Paul has warned us about what will happen
to the nation’s economy if the Federal Reserve is not stopped. The
printing of money based on nothing will destroy a currency. The Federal
Reserve is also using its powers to control other nations and create a
globalist state more powerful and controlling than any in the history
of the world.
When Abinadi spoke to King Noah and the wicked
High Priests, they chose to ignore his warnings and condemnations. They
denied that they were wicked and instead tried to make Abinadi look
fanatical. They were angry at Abinadi for daring to criticize them.
There was only one High Priest who chose to listen. His name was Alma.
He was humble enough to recognize the truth and do something with it.
He realized that ignoring the words of God would have dire consequences
for the people, and he made efforts to go about teaching people the
truth. He made a difference with the knowledge he received
.If
we are able to recognize the dangers in our society today, what will we
do about it? Will we be like the High Priests who shunned the truth and
refused to receive it, or will we be humble enough to realize where we
are at as a society? Are we doing anything to fight the evils going on
within our government today, or are we leaving that for some other
patriotic, lonely soul to do. It is the duty of every American to help
preserve the freedoms that the Constitution provides, and see to it
that our government does not overstep its bounds.
For almost 100 years
now, too many Americans have been lazy and apathetic, not wanting to
get involved and learn about what kind of government our Founding
Fathers actually set up for us. Many Americans are unable to recognize
the difference between good and proper government and the evil
socialist ideas and programs of the devil. The devil is carefully
wrapping his chains around our nation, and like the stories in the Book
of Mormon, he is using a relatively small group of people to do it.
Unfortunately, like Nephite history, this group is growing because of
the love of money.
Ron Paul is doing something. He has a bill to
abolish the Federal Reserve and bring this country back to sound money.
You say abolish the Federal Reserve? That sounds awfully radical! It is
only only radical if you don’t understand what the Federal Reserve is
doing and has done since 1913. It is ignorance that prevents us from
seeing the need to abolish this private bank that is destroying our
country. In order for Ron Paul to succeed in Congress and in upholding
the Constitution, he needs the support of the American people. He needs
an educated people, who know enough to recognize that things are not
right in America.
What is at the heart of the subversion of our
country?
Do we care enough to find out or will we just keep going about
out daily business because we personally have not been affected by
this–yet?
Will we be like Alma and at least try to save our country,
or will we admit defeat now?
If we say there is nothing we can do, then
we deserve the slavery that our current leaders will bring to this
country. Just like the Nephites during the time of King Noah were
brought into slavery, we will also be brought into slavery if we choose
to do nothing and go along with the status quo. We don’t have time to
waste. Only if enough people are awakened to their awful situation and
decide to take action, then we can stop what is progressing, which is
global government. Do you love your freedom? If you do, what are you
willing to do to help preserve it? I hope you will ponder these
questions and decide to take action. We need to unite as a people and
fight to defend our freedoms–before we no longer can.
