As Theodore Roosevelt is quoted here on this blog as having pointed out the danger and evil of parroting that old "stand by the president" line, I feel the same can be said of the Church President (as opposed to the same man's calling as Prophet of The Lord which is only made possible and received by one and all by The Holy Spirit). I am not in favor of evil (The root causes of war) nor error which causes the righteous, yes the righteous to support evil indirectly. So make sure you hear my words clearly. Well if you choose to twist them as disloyal to the principles of freedom or Christ then thats cool. I will say this anyway.
Connor you said something here which I wish to call attention to for the simple reason that we have a tendency to consider things yesterday's news and fail to see and feel the import of these things in our day to day sojourn through life in our second estate. You said it is naive to think the prophet knows everything about everything. Thank you for touching on the issue and pointing out one plain and precious truth that can be of great worth to us as those of God's people who are likened to the 10 virgins. It is essential that we each fill our own lamps with oil. And out of a desire to help us do that I wanted to expound on one point of this GBH talk. Which I agree is a beautiful call for peace.

"We know(?) that you are not in that land of blowing sand
and brutal heat because you enjoy the GAMES of WAR. The strength of
your commitment is measured by your willingness to give your very lives
for that in which you believe."

I encourage all of my brothers and sisters to bear witness to the striking similarities between the video GAMES (some of which are funded and designed by the military as recruiting/training for the public) and the real life evil choices made by "our boys" in the battle field. Take special note of the 12 men and two children who are ruthlessly slaughtered in Iraq. Judge not unrighteously ( ie. without the Holy Spirit) that ye be not judged.
